When I am busy working on a page I can not stand when I get my hands dirty with sticky adhesives, paint, stamp ink or any yucky gunk I might have used. To stop from transferring dirt to my scrapbooking pages I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer or wipes on my scrap table.

Since 8 x 8 books have smaller pages I put the pictures on one page and then put the "writing" on the opposite page. This gives me enough room for journaling.

I layout my pictures and accessories before I glue them down and then I use 2 sided tape so later I can rearrange them if I need to.

You should not keep your photos anywhere too humid, hot or somewhere the temperature fluctuates too much.  For example a basement can be too humid, an attic to hot.
